The singer died on the morning of Sunday, the 11th of July 2021. His brother, Kayode Fasasi confirmed that Sound Sultan is dead through a press release. At the time of his death, the singer was 44 years old and had been battling Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma for quite some time. We announce the death of multitalented legendary singer, rapper, and songwriter Olanrewaju Fasasi a.k.a Sound Sultan with sorrowful hearts. After a long struggle with Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma, he passed away at the age of 44. His wife, three children, and siblings all survive him. As we come to terms with this devastating loss, his family will appreciate the utmost privacy.
Fans waking up to the news this morning will definitely remember just recently when the singer was allegedly diagnosed with throat cancer. Before Sound Sultan was reported dead this morning, he had been in the news in May. The singer was reported to have been diagnosed with throat cancer. However, his team came out and debunked the rumors. Sound Sultan also came out to say when it’s time to tell his story, it will be true and not false.
